Dear travelers,
A table is being laid for twelve visitors from beyond the map—card-bearing folk who speak with alarming ease of spells, artifacts, creatures, dragons, and brightly colored lands.
Whether these cards contain true magic, elaborate trickery, or merely the most complicated game ever devised remains unsettled. The guests insist that any dragons involved will remain safely inside the cards. Diggory intends to take them at their word.
What is certain is that there will be breakfast, comfortable chairs, abundant provisions, and a carefully ordered day of drafting, playing, prizes, and good company. Preparations are already under way, lists have been made, and several of those lists have acquired smaller lists of their own.
Further news will arrive as the table is laid, the pantry is inspected, and the final arrangements are brought into proper order.
Until then, keep your cards close and your appetite in excellent condition.
With great enthusiasm,
